GPPH welding fume extraction systems reduce the spread of fumes and dust generated during welding, helping to maintain cleaner air both directly at the workstation and in larger production areas. The IQ AERO CLEAN range includes solutions for individual workstations, changing work layouts, fixed workstations, and multi-workstation production halls.
The most effective fume removal starts as close as possible to the point where the fumes are generated, before the contaminants spread throughout the workshop or production hall. A properly positioned extraction arm captures welding fumes directly above the work area, so the system does not have to clean the entire volume of the room of contaminants that could have been captured earlier.
For individual and localized emission sources, workstation extraction systems are a suitable solution. In larger halls, with mobile workstations or dispersed fume sources, a filtration and ventilation system designed to operate across a larger area may be required.
IQ AERO CLEAN welding fume extraction systems draw in contaminated air, direct it through a filtration system, and then reduce the amount of dust and fumes remaining in the work area. Depending on the model, the units use a spark arrestor filter, cartridge filters, and filter cartridge cleaning systems.
IQ AERO CLEAN Mobile and Wall provide an airflow of 3000 m³/h and a filtration efficiency of 99.5% for particles measuring 0.3 µm. IQ AERO CLEAN ECO delivers 1200 m³/h, SUMMIT 5000 m³/h, while the industrial MASTER unit provides an airflow of up to approximately 15,000 m³/h.
The units’ powder-coated steel housings are designed for use in workshop and industrial environments.
GPPH advises: the highest extraction efficiency is achieved when welding fumes are captured as close to the welding point as possible. The extraction arm should be positioned so that it captures the fume plume before it begins to spread throughout the room.
A welding fume extraction system should be selected primarily according to the number of workstations, the location of fume sources, welding intensity, and installation possibilities. Airflow capacity expressed in m³/h alone does not determine which system is suitable – individual IQ AERO CLEAN models are designed for different tasks.
IQ AERO CLEAN ECO provides an airflow capacity of 1200 m³/h and is suitable wherever a compact, mobile fume extraction system is needed without the need for an extensive installation. The availability of configurations with one or two extraction arms allows the unit to be adapted to the workstation layout.
IQ AERO CLEAN Mobile allows the extraction unit to be moved freely between workstations, while IQ AERO CLEAN Wall uses wall mounting, so it does not take up floor space. Both solutions provide an airflow capacity of 3000 m³/h and can operate with one or two extraction points.
IQ AERO CLEAN SUMMIT operates differently from a conventional workstation extraction system. With an airflow capacity of 5000 m³/h, the column draws in contaminants rising into the upper areas of the hall and filters the air across a larger space, making it suitable for dispersed fume sources, mobile workstations, and areas where ductwork is difficult to install.
IQ AERO CLEAN MASTER is designed for larger industrial installations and multi-workstation welding facilities. With an airflow capacity of up to approximately 15,000 m³/h, the central unit can be used in systems serving larger work areas or multiple extraction points.
Local extraction is the right solution when the source of the fumes can be precisely identified and the extraction point can be positioned close to the welding process. ECO, Mobile, and Wall allow extraction to be concentrated directly at the workstation.
SUMMIT addresses a different problem – contaminants that have already spread throughout the hall or are generated at multiple, changing locations. MASTER, on the other hand, enables the creation of a larger filtration and ventilation system for multiple emission points.
Selecting the right welding fume extraction system should therefore begin by determining where the fumes are generated, how many workstations operate simultaneously, and whether their positions change during production.
The fume extraction system can be expanded depending on the working method and workstation layout. When working on a welding table, it is worth considering welding hoods, which capture fumes rising above the work surface.
System configuration is also made easier by suitable accessories for ventilation equipment. For workstations where grinding is carried out in addition to welding, it is also worth considering grinding and welding stations. A complete workstation setup can also be combined with appropriately selected welding tables.
GPPH welding fume extraction systems offer airflow capacities ranging from 1200 to approximately 15,000 m³/h, allowing the system to be selected for both a single workstation and a large production hall. Choose a solution based on the number of workstations, where the fumes are generated, and how production is organized.
For a single workstation, it is worth starting with ECO, Mobile, or Wall, selecting the airflow capacity and mounting method according to the intensity of work.
Mobile can be moved between workstations, while Wall is permanently mounted and does not take up floor space.
No. Airflow capacity should be considered together with the number of workstations and the location of emissions, because ECO, SUMMIT, and MASTER are designed for different tasks.
