Description
Welding Table PRO 2400x1200mm – large work surface for frames, gates and frameworks
The work surface of the PRO 2400x1200mm Welding Table provides 2.88m² of space for positioning large frames, gates and extensive frameworks. It is based on a 15mm S355J2+N steel worktop, whose rigidity is supported by rib reinforcement while maintaining a flatness tolerance of ≤0.15mm. This format is suited to work that requires both a long working length and space for clamping points positioned on both sides of the workpiece.
2400x1200mm work surface for large frames and structures
The 2400x1200mm worktop provides a large working area in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. The 2400mm length allows reference points to be positioned over a considerable distance, making this format well suited to gates, large frames, frameworks, railings and structures consisting of several connected components.
The 1200mm width provides more space for clamping tools on both sides of the workpiece than the 1000mm-wide variants. This is important for complex assemblies where squares, stops and clamps need to be positioned not only along the structure, but also in its central area and near the side edges.
The 2.88m² work surface also allows a larger number of components to be laid out at the workstation before they are joined. Individual parts can be prepared and initially positioned on a single worktop, reducing the need to move them between separate workstations.
15mm S355J2+N steel worktop with a large working surface
The workstation is based on a 15mm thick S355J2+N steel worktop. Its structure is reinforced from underneath by a rib system that provides additional rigidity across the large surface when positioning and clamping components.
A flatness tolerance of ≤0.15mm is maintained across the entire working surface. With the 2400x1200mm format, this allows widely spaced areas of the worktop to be used as reference points for a single large structure.
- the holes have milled and chamfered edges designed for use with compatible tooling,
- the ±0.05mm hole manufacturing tolerance supports precise and repeatable positioning of tools,
- the engraved 100x100mm scale makes it easier to control the position of reference points across a large surface,
- beneath the worktop is a rib system that increases its rigidity,
- the workstation structure uses legs made of 100x100x4mm profiles,
- each leg has a load capacity of 1000kg, provided the load is properly distributed.
GPPH recommends: For a large structure, first establish the main reference points and check the geometry of the entire assembly. Only then add further clamping points. This prevents a large number of clamps from locking in an error introduced during an earlier positioning stage.
Maximum table load capacity up to 4000kg
The compact dimensions of the PRO 1000x600mm do not mean limited load capacity. The table is supported by 4 legs made of 100x100x4mm profiles, each providing a load capacity of up to 1000kg. With the load properly and evenly distributed, this gives the table a maximum load capacity of up to 4000kg.
This allows the compact work surface to also be used with heavy components and structures, provided their weight is properly distributed across the worktop and support points.

The 2400x1200mm format combines a long working length with additional space in the transverse direction, allowing clamping points to be positioned around large structures. The PRO 2400x1200mm is well suited to large frames, gates and frameworks that require both widely spaced reference points and more space on the sides of the workpiece.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much working surface does the PRO 2400x1200mm provide?
The worktop provides 2.88m² of working surface, offering plenty of space for larger structures and for positioning tooling around them.
What does the 1200mm width provide when working with large structures?
The greater width provides additional space for clamping points on both sides of the workpiece and makes it easier to work with structures extending in the transverse direction.
Can several components of one structure be prepared simultaneously on the 2400x1200mm worktop?
Yes. Depending on the dimensions of the individual parts, the large work surface allows several subassemblies to be positioned at one workstation and prepared for further assembly.
