The rotary welding table from GPPH costs from €884.00 to €4,539.00 and makes it easier to position and clamp workpieces in workstations requiring access from multiple directions. The range includes the OCT table top without a positioner, designed for mounting on a suitably selected positioner and use in welding automation and robotic welding processes.
The octagonal shape of the OCT table top facilitates access to the clamped workpiece from different directions, making it well suited as part of an automated or robotic welding workstation. The table top can operate with a positioner and a welding robot, allowing the workstation to be planned for repeatable assembly and welding processes.
The product offered in this category is a welding table top - the positioner is not included. The OCT table top is designed for mounting on a positioner after GPPH has received the key information on the required dimensions and installation parameters. This allows the table-top preparation to be tailored to the planned workstation configuration.
Five work surface sizes are available - 600x600, 800x800, 1000x1000, 1200x1200 and 1400x1400 mm - making it easier to select the right size for the dimensions of the workpieces and the available workspace. In the wider range welding tables solutions designed for other methods of organising and clamping components are also available.
A flatness tolerance of up to 0.3 mm across the entire table-top surface helps maintain repeatable workpiece positioning during subsequent operations and production cycles. The table tops are made from S355J2+N steel or, in the INOX variants, from 1.4301 stainless steel, and the construction is additionally reinforced with ribs.
Milled and chamfered holes, along with the engraved 100x100 mm grid, make it easier to position tooling and reproduce previously prepared configurations. Three rows of holes in the side walls expand the options for clamping components beyond the top work surface as well.
GPPH advises: If the OCT table top is to operate with a positioner, please provide us with the key information on the required dimensions and installation method before the configuration is prepared. This allows the table top to be properly prepared for the planned workstation and helps maintain stable, repeatable workpiece positioning later on.
Configuration selection should begin with the work surface dimensions, table-top thickness and hole system: the PLUS version has a 12 mm table top, while PRO has a 15 mm table top; available configurations use either the Ø16 or Ø28 system. For Ø16, a 50x50 mm or diagonal grid is available, while Ø28 uses a diagonal grid.
If the table top is to be mounted on a positioner, its dimensions and the requirements for connecting the two components are also important. Providing this information before placing the order allows the table top to be prepared for a specific workstation configuration. At the same time, the hole system should be matched to welding table tools used in the facility.
The OCT table top is best combined with welding clamps and fast assembly bolts and pins, which help locate and stabilise the position of workpieces. Properly selected tooling makes it easier to prepare a repeatable clamping process for both manual work and an automated or robotic workstation.
OCT table tops are available in five sizes, with a thickness of 12 or 15 mm and an Ø16 or Ø28 system. If the table top is to operate with a positioner, please provide us with the key information on its dimensions and installation so that we can prepare a configuration suited to the planned workstation.
Is the positioner part of the OCT welding table?
No, the range includes the OCT table top without a positioner. The table top can be prepared for mounting on a suitably selected positioner.
Can the OCT table top be mounted on a positioner?
Yes, the OCT table top can be adapted for mounting on a positioner after the key information on the required dimensions has been provided.
Is the OCT table top suitable for a robotic welding workstation?
Yes, the octagonal OCT construction is designed for automation and robotics and can operate with both a robot and a positioner.
