2400×1200 Welding Table – Large Working Surface for Larger Structures

The 2400×1200 welding table from GPPH is currently available from €1,267 to €13,499 excl. VAT and provides a large, stable working surface for positioning frames, profiles, and large assemblies without the need to frequently reposition workpieces. This size is ideal for workshops and production facilities that require easy access to the structure, repeatable clamping, and space for tools.

When Does a 2400×1200 mm Welding Table Improve Assembly and Welding?

The 2400×1200 mm working surface allows you to position larger workpieces in a single setup while leaving room for clamps, squares, and reference points. Fewer repositioning operations reduce the need for repeated measuring and clamping, making it easier to maintain the geometry of frames, profiles, and assemblies produced individually or in series.

The larger tabletop also makes it easier to access different parts of the structure without constantly rotating the workpiece. In the broader range welding tables other sizes are also available to match the typical dimensions of your workpieces and the available space in your workshop.

How Does the Tabletop Design Affect Working Accuracy?

Tabletops available in the 2400×1200 mm size are 8 to 25 mm thick, allowing the rigidity of the working surface to be matched to the size of the clamped workpieces and the intended use of the workstation. Standard versions are made of S355J2+N steel, while INOX variants are manufactured from 1.4301 stainless steel.

The ribbed reinforcement strengthens the working surface, while the engraved 100×100 mm grid makes it easier to position workpieces and recreate previously prepared setups. In the category traditional welding tables you can choose the EXPERT, PRO, PLUS, or ECO series and a tabletop with a thickness of 8 to 25 mm.

Stable support is especially important when working with long workpieces, as incorrect adjustment of a single support point can change the position of the workpiece at the opposite end of the tabletop.

GPPH recommends: Before starting work, carefully level the 2400×1200 mm welding table and check the stability of all support points. Proper setup makes it easier to position larger workpieces and reduces the risk of inaccuracies and subsequent rework.

How to Choose the Right 2400×1200 mm Welding Table Variant?

Choose the 2400×1200 mm welding table variant based on the tabletop design, workstation adjustment method, the material of the workpieces, and the tool system you use. SMART 12 and SMART 15 tables feature side walls with two rows of holes, while traditional GPPH series use three rows of holes, providing more mounting points for side clamping of tools and workpieces.

BASIC tables are well suited as simple welding and assembly workstations. Stainless steel welding tables PLUS INOX and PRO INOX are designed for working with stainless steel components and help limit their contact with carbon steel.

When adjustable working height is important, height-adjustable welding tables XWT tables help adjust the tabletop position to suit the task being performed and reduce the need to work in awkward positions. The 2400×1200 mm size is also available in MWT modular tables and WeldStation workstations.

Ø16 or Ø28 System – How to Choose the Right Holes and Tools?

Choose the Ø16 system for smaller workpieces and a denser arrangement of clamping points, while the Ø28 system is better suited for larger workpieces and heavier tools. Depending on the series, the Ø16 system is available with 50×50 mm, 100×100 mm, or diagonal hole patterns. The Ø28 system is available with 100×100 mm or diagonal hole patterns.

Ø16 and Ø28 system tools are not interchangeable, so the choice of hole system should match the equipment already used in your workshop. Properly selected Tools for Welding Tables reduce workstation setup time and make repeatable workpiece positioning easier.

The 2400×1200 mm working surface, tabletops with a thickness of 8 to 25 mm, and the Ø16 or Ø28 system allow the welding table to be matched to larger workpieces and your workstation layout. Choose the series, tabletop material, height adjustment method, and hole pattern according to the size of your structures and the tools you already use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Jobs Is a 2400×1200 Welding Table Suitable For?

The 2400×1200 mm size is ideal for larger frames, profiles, and assemblies that require stable and repeatable clamping.

Does a 2400×1200 Welding Table Need to Be Levelled Before Use?

Yes. Proper levelling helps maintain the geometry of the workpiece and reduces deviations during the assembly and welding of larger structures.

Which Hole System Should You Choose – Ø16 or Ø28?

The Ø16 system is suitable for smaller workpieces and denser clamping point layouts, while Ø28 is designed for larger components and heavier tools.
