Description

SMART 15mm Welding Table 2000×1000 mm – long tabletop for frames and profiles

Two meters of working length distinguish the SMART 15mm 2000×1000 mm as a variant intended primarily for frames, profiles, and structures extending in one direction. The 15 mm thick welding tabletop made of S355J2+N steel, ribbing, and hole system create a surface that allows support and clamping points to be distributed over a greater length.

2000×1000 mm surface for longer structures

For longitudinal frames, profiles, beams, railings, and racks, the 2000×1000 mm surface provides the space needed to distribute clamping points over a longer section.

The 2000 mm length helps reduce the need to move the workpiece while preparing the structure. The 1000 mm width provides easier access to the components from both longer sides of the table, which makes it easier to position clamps, check alignment, and carry out subsequent welds.

For a workshop that regularly works with longer components, the 2000×1000 mm surface can become the central area for positioning, aligning, and clamping them. The elongated work surface provides more space than shorter variants while not taking up the space typical of wide tables designed for structures extending in several directions. For this type of application, the welding table top should allow supports to be positioned along the entire length of the component while leaving enough space for clamping.

15 mm thick tabletop made of S355J2+N steel

S355J2+N steel is used to make the 15 mm thick work surface. The resulting tabletop provides a base for positioning long components and creating clamping setups adapted to their shape.

The plate is reinforced from underneath by a system of ribs. The ribbing supports its rigidity and transfers evenly distributed loads to the table structure. For long workpieces, it is also important to position a sufficient number of supports along the entire length.

Milling and chamfering the hole edges makes it easier to use pins, clamps, angle brackets, and stop elements. The tooling can be moved between successive points, allowing its arrangement to be adapted to the length and geometry of the structure being produced.

GPPH recommends: measure the longest components you regularly produce and check where they require support and clamping. The 2000×1000 mm format is worth considering if greater working length is needed more often than additional tabletop width.

Mounting holes on the 2000×1000 mm surface

Depending on the tooling used, the SMART 15mm can be configured with the Ø16 or Ø28 system. The mounting points are arranged in a 100×100 mm grid or diagonal pattern, allowing the layout to be matched to the planned clamping method.

The arrangement of holes along the 2000 mm length allows several positioning, support, and clamping points to be created for a single component. This is particularly useful for profiles, beams, and elongated frames whose position needs to be controlled at multiple points.

After the job is completed, the tooling layout can be reconfigured without permanently fixing the equipment to a single position. This makes the workstation suitable for both one-off jobs and short production runs that require the clamping setup to be recreated repeatedly.

There are two rows of holes on both longer side walls. They extend the mounting area with additional points intended, among other things, for brackets, vertical elements, and parts of spatial structures.

Load capacity of the SMART 15mm welding table

2500 kg is the maximum load capacity of the entire SMART 15mm 2000×1000 mm welding table when the weight is evenly distributed. This allows the workstation to be used for preparing heavier frames and assemblies, provided they are properly positioned on the work surface.

Engraved scale on the 2000×1000 mm tabletop

An engraved 100×100 mm scale runs along the work surface. Its markings help maintain approximate spacing between profiles, support points, and clamping elements arranged along the length of the table.

The scale is particularly useful for repetitive structures. The operator can use recorded positions to recreate the previous arrangement of the workpiece and tooling more quickly without having to lay out the entire setup again from scratch.

The final dimensions and geometry of the structure must be verified using measuring tools. The engraving makes positioning components easier, but it does not replace precise inspection of the finished work.

Tabletop flatness after proper leveling

For the 2000×1000 mm tabletop, the ≤0.3 mm value applies to the entire surface after the table has been correctly positioned and leveled in its final location in the workshop.

With a length of 2000 mm, the level should be checked at several points, including both ends and the central area of the work surface. This is important for repeatable positioning of longitudinal workpieces. Any later relocation of the workstation should be followed by another setup check.

SMART 15mm 2000×1000 mm welding table specifications

  • work surface 2000×1000 mm,
  • elongated format for frames, profiles, and longitudinal structures,
  • 15 mm thick tabletop made of S355J2+N steel,
  • maximum load capacity of 2500 kg with evenly distributed weight,
  • structure reinforced with stiffening ribs,
  • hole system Ø16 or Ø28,
  • 100×100 mm hole grid or diagonal pattern,
  • milled and chamfered mounting holes,
  • engraved 100×100 mm scale,
  • two rows of holes in the side walls,
  • flatness tolerance ≤0.3 mm after proper leveling,
  • possibility to change the tooling configuration,
  • access to the workpiece from both longer sides of the table.

SMART 15mm 2000×1000 mm provides the length needed for positioning profiles, frames, and structures that require several support points. Choose the 2000×1000 mm format if you need a longer work surface while maintaining convenient access to the workpiece from both sides of the workstation.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is it worth choosing the SMART 15mm 2000×1000 mm welding table?

This format is worth considering for regular work with longitudinal frames, profiles, beams, railings, and racks that require clamping points to be distributed over a greater length.

Does the 1000 mm width make it easier to access the structure?

Yes. The 1000 mm width allows the workpiece to be handled from both longer sides of the table, making it easier to fit clamps, take measurements, and carry out subsequent welding stages.

How should long components be supported on a 2000×1000 mm table?

Support points should be placed at several locations along the length of the workpiece. Their number and position should help limit deflection of the component and prevent its weight from being concentrated on a small area of the work surface.
